RPCS3 Emulator

RPCS3 is a free multi platform emulator that's completely open-source. It only emulates PlayStation 3 games, but it's a lot of them available. It is mainly developed by two developers, Nekotekina and kd-11. It doesn't permit any PlayStation 3 peripheral controller use as of now, but there are a good deal of usable gamepads available to play with, and most brands and types of controllers may be used to play each of the games. {To download, you will need a 64-bit version of either Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 9, or Windows 10. |} Modern versions of Linux should also be fully supported by RPCS3. It might also work with other hardware, even though Linux and Windows seem to be advocated (For a much better gameplay experience). You can download RPCS3 from https://rpcs3.onl/ and install it following its instructions.

So as to install games, you will have to get them from either a physical PlayStation 3 console you have access to or from a Kinect drive, though only certain types of Blu-ray drives can be used to set up games to use with RPCS3. This is sometimes inconvenient. According to the programmer, 1876 games are currently playable, which is a great amount if you are looking to play a large variety of different video games from a PlayStation 3 console in your PC. At the moment, online multiplayer is unfortunately only available in a very small selection of games, which is inconvenient if you want to play with someone that's not near you. This could be improved in the future, but as of right now it appears unlikely. Local multiplayer, however, is fortunately completely supported, meaning you can use it in all available multiplayer games that would have a local multiplayer option when playing on a real console. You may use up to 7 controllers at the same time, which means that you can play with a bigger group of people if necessary. As of March 2020, there's now support offered for a number of PlayStation 3D games, which means you can play games offering 3D capabilities (3D effects such as the ones in 3D movies).
