If an employee has a family member that is a patient and discloses information regarding that patient's behavior to their provider when they are on opiates would that be considered a HIPPA breach?

THe situation is hypothetical. My daughter works in an office. Her great aunt is a patient. She is bi polar receives pain medication monthly. she is for lack of a better word unhinged when she doesn't get her meds. for some reason her doctor did not choose to refill her meds, the aunt is blaming my daughter who assures me sha has said nothing and I believe her. She would not jeapordize her job that way. What is her best course of action to protect herself in this matter?
